Stunning 2 bed Apartment Almerimar

ALMERIMAR AND SURROUNDING AREA

Almerimar attracts a fairly affluent visitor and has a lovely mix between many nationalities from most European Countries with the local Spanish having the greatest influence. There is a real feeling of community and with little or no segregation, mingling with the locals is automatic.

It is situated 40 km west of Almería. It is one of the few resorts in Europe where the rainfall is scarce! Its large, untouched, sandy beaches, water sports, varied restaurants and excellent facilities make for an unforgettable holiday for families, couples and retired alike. Almerimar is also well known for its excellent golf course and many other sporting activities such as tennis, wind surfing, fishing, diving, skiing and sailing among many others.

Almeria

Almeria is at the heart of Costa de Almeria. This one city represents that which has drawn holidaymakers to Spain’s coasts for decades.

Dominating the old town is the citadel Alcazaba. Often referred to as the Garden Fortress, Alcazaba was commissioned by Arab royalty in 955 and still bears witness to Almeria’s prosperous past.

On Mondays, visit the La Chaca quarter’s street market. Almeria boasts romantic Andalucian white facades and traditional cobblestone streets dotted with local crafts shops, al fresco cafes and family-run restaurants serving up sublime dishes.

Roquetas del Mar

Roquetas del Mar was once a small fishing village and is now a very poular holiday resort. Its only a short distance from Almerimar, there is a water park, many bars and restaurants and a magnificent long white sandy beach.

Aqua Amarga

Aqua Amarga is in the Cabo de Gata National Park, Nijar. The village has just 250 inhabitants and has preserved is Arabic history. It boasts the most beautiful unspoilt beaches with magnificent views.

Indalo Man

Indalo Man is an ancient symbol found in the province of Almeria over 100 years ago.It was first found in the Las Velez mountain range of northern Almeria province in a cave known as La Cueva de los Letreros (Cave of the Signboards). The cave itself was made a National Historic Monument in 1924. It dates back to Neolithic times and seems to depict a man holding a rainbow in his arms over his head. Souvenir shops throughout the region sell Indalo Man, place him by your door and he will protect your home.

More Golf - Read On!

Golfers visiting Almerimar can look forward to a 27 hole course, plenty of trees which give well needed shade and, at the same time, serve as natural hazards, protecting the fast greens. The course was designed by Garry Player. Two excellent alternatives are La Envia and La Serena Golf

Keeping Kids Occupied

There are plenty of activities for all the family in the surrounding area of Almerimar. From theme parks like the famous Mini Hollywood which is near Tabernas just off the N-340, to the Mario Water Park in Roquetas or Aqua Vera Water Park near Garrucha Villaricos.

Bars and Restaurants

There is an abundance of bars and restaurants both in the main hub of Almerimar and also closer to home too.  The D bar is just minutes from the entrance to Alta Entinas and they offer a great selection of free tapas with every glass of wine or beer ordered plus you can guarantee if there is a special sports event on, they will be showing it. We also have one of the best restaurants within walking distance, just head for the beach and you will find La ZarZuela. Offering a great selection of fresh fish dishes and quality steaks.

The Stumble Inn is popular with all the locals, as is McGowans..... suffice it to say there is enough choice to suit everyone.
